Founders and owners, Tim and Connie Friesen, work their magic weekly by offering interesting food, varied wine and outstanding musical entertainment for their Saturday Night Chefs Table. Centered around a different global theme each week, the pris fixe menu is served “small plate style”, with assorted multiple courses. The global small plates offer a wide variety of delicious food. The broad and affordable wine selection, beer and cocktail choices, round out the evening. Interesting paired wines or featured cocktails compliment the menu. The evening is unique and memorable.
Musical talent spans from nationally known to local; from classical, jazz and contemporary to folk. Each week the performers change.
On Second Sundays during most of the year, Brunch is served with entertainment provided by Sophie Wysocki delivering soothing classical guitar music, while artist, Stephen Wysocki, paints while you watch.
The small and intimate dining room doubles as an art gallery, with the exhibits changing frequently. Open to the public during restaurant or event hours.
Tim and Connie Friesen support the arts and local culture by routinely featuring events such as open- mike night, “Mostly” Thursday Readers Theater, Annual Art Auction, assorted holiday programs, pop-up art happenings, and special Friday night concerts. This summer they will host outdoor events.
The Big Easel also offers Catering for special events, at the Bistro & Gallery, or at your selected location.
